Senior Engineer – Payments

My client, a leading financial services company is currently seeking a Senior Payments Engineer to join on a long term contracting basis.

You will play a key role in designing and developing robust and scalable solutions that meet the current business needs while also paving the way for future improvements and leveraging the latest technologies.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong engineering / solution design background and have deep knowledge of international payments.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive and detailed solution designs, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability, while adhering to architectural principles and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment, effective communication, and seamless delivery of solutions.
• Create clear and concise documentation, including design documents, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications, which are easily understandable by applications designers and developers.

Key requirements:

• Experience working in Domestic or International Payment system environments.
• Good understanding of SWIFT Payments
• Knowledge of MT and ISO (MX) Format messaging
• ISO20022 experience would be beneficial
